What are Hyperfine Interactions?.

In this way is called the interaction of the nuclear spin with the electric charges, the electric currents and the magnetic moments of its neighborhood.

There is also an international journal called Hyperfine Interactions

This journal is devoted to research in the border regions of Solid-State Physics, Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics and relevant Chemistry. The interactions of atoms, ions, electrons and nuclei with their environments in solids, liquids, gases, plasmas and directed beams comprise a broad area of physical science in themselves. These interactions also promise unique tools for studying the behavior of many physical, chemical and biological systems.

At LENIH we have been applying several hyperfine interaction techniques to different problems of Solid State Physics and Material Science during the last two decades. More recently several new techniques were incorporated and now the Laboratory split exploring new materials and new properties.

I am moving to new frontiers. I will continue with research in basic science, but simultaneously I will work in applied fields.
