2) Con 1 cm de pentano (0.5 flujo) y peso de aluminio (el bubbler de salida condensa). La sensibilidad se empareja. De todos modos son bastante más las coincidencias de 2 que de tres, para cualquiera de las tres combinaciones. O sea que TODOS pierden.

NOTA: Los dos centelladores coinciden dentro del ancho del pulso NIM de salida de los discriminadores. La señal del discriminador del TGC llega 20-30 ns adelantada, por lo que ensanché el pulso para que coincidan. Ver esquemático. También funcionó agregando retardo con cables.
Muones - Triple coincidencia |
STRIPS
4 strips consecutivos con cables de 6 ns a los 4 canales del osciloscopio, disparado con la triple coincidencia. Ver screenshots.
NOTA: Ancho de banda limitado a 20 MHz porque los strips capturan las FM. Próximo paso 50 ohms a tierra contra el strip, antes de la bajada. Si no funciona, blindaje.

Muones |
Se detectó una falla en el nuevo conjunto, manifestada como una mucho menor ganancia. Se comprobó que se debe a un contacto defectuoso, sensible a la temperatura y a las vibraciones. Resta desarmar la base y reparar. Mientras tanto funciona, una vez que la base se calentó. Poco confiable para mediciones a largo plazo.
El próximo paso es colocar el TGC en el medio de los centelladores, utilizando un tercer soporte, con el osciloscopio de 4 canales conectado a tres strips y el ánodo, disparado con la coincidencia de los dos centelladores.
