Blue Planet

Blue Planet is the name that identifies this logotipe of the Pierre Auger Observatory. Its author is Anú Talvari, an artist of estonian origin, born in Sweden and living in Buenos Aires -a background not unlike the world-wide composition of the Auger Collaboration. She designed this illustration after some physicist friends told her about the Auger project. She expresses her feelings about the experiment through this painting and with the following words:

"Earth. The blue planet. The known space is enclosed in the lower left corner. The unknown space opens in the upper right corner. Two Auger Observatories installed in both hemispheres. Two eyes looking for information from the unknown space."

You can also visity the gallery of Auger logos, containing over twenty logos and illustrations about the Pierre Auger Observatory.
